This is my honest Skillcloud.au review written after firsthand experience working with the company in early 2025. Hired by Skillcloud to build a full forty-page website, our team overdelivered ahead of schedule only to face withheld wages, verbal abuse, and platform violations. Everything documented throughout this account has been submitted to and independently verified by Trustpilot.
Unpaid Work and Broken Contractual Agreements
The project began as straightforward copywriting and rapidly expanded into full Webflow development, third-party integrations, and graphic design without budget adjustments. Despite delivering all forty pages ahead of an arbitrarily shifting deadline, the client withheld the final seven hundred dollar payment without contractual justification. When challenged, the director cited routine dispute experience rather than addressing the completed deliverables.
Documented Verbal Abuse and Conduct
Communication throughout the project was marked by aggressive conduct during recorded feedback calls. In a single ten-minute video call, the client used profanity eighteen times while adopting a condescending tone toward experienced senior developers. These recordings were compiled and submitted directly to Trustpilot as part of their verification process.
Synthetic Profiles and Platform Violations
Throughout the engagement, project communication occurred under multiple fake employee profiles pretending to represent distinct team members. The client later admitted operating all accounts personally while simultaneously requesting the creation of fake worker profiles and synthetic reviews. Attempts were also made to move payments off-platform in direct violation of service terms.
Final Evidence and Industry Transparency
Freelancers and digital agencies must document every milestone, chat log, and call recording when navigating high-risk client engagements. Sharing verified evidence protects the broader community from repeating these experiences and establishes clear standards for digital service contracts.
